Ukraine faces Sahara dust wave
Ukraine is being covered by a wave of dust from the African Sahara desert, brought by warm air from the Mediterranean Sea. This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.

Health risks for vulnerable populations
Experts from the hydrometeorological center note that such meteorological phenomenon is dangerous for people with respiratory diseases, the elderly, and children.
Protect yourself from worsening air quality
In case of worsened air quality, the Department of Environmental Protection and Climate Adaptation of the Kyiv City State Administration reminds the necessity to:
- close windows;
- limit time spent outdoors, especially physical activities in the open air;
- drink more water;
- if available, use air purifiers at maximum capacity.
