22-year-old Roman Shakh Sentenced for DUI Car Accident
The Lviv court has sentenced Roman Shakh, 22, for a car accident he caused while driving under the influence of alcohol. The incident took place on September 8, 2023, when Shakh veered into oncoming traffic and collided with an Opel Vivaro before crashing into a gas station. One passenger in the VAZ car was injured as a result.
In court, Shakh admitted his guilt, had already compensated the victims for their moral damages, but still received a one-year prison sentence and a three-year driver’s license suspension.
