Following a public accusation by the Kamianets-Podilskyi District Prosecutor’s Office, a court found a 26-year-old resident of Dunaivtsi guilty of possession and sale of narcotics. The criminal had been suspected of illegal activity since April 2022, when law enforcement officers discovered that he had been repeatedly selling cannabis among the local population.
During the court hearing, the accused did not admit his guilt, claiming that he was selling dried herbs, not drugs. However, prosecutors successfully proved his guilt, as reported by the press service of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
For trading cannabis, the resident of Dunaivtsi was sentenced to 6 years in prison with confiscation of property. Until the court’s verdict takes legal force, he will remain in custody.
