Large-scale fires in Lviv region: rescuers battle the flames

Rescue operations in Lviv region

Over the past day, rescuers in Lviv region made 15 trips to extinguish fires in open areas, the total area of which exceeded 25,800 square meters.

This was reported by the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Lviv region. Cases of ignition of dry vegetation were recorded in Lviv, Stryi, Drohobych, Zolochiv, and Yavoriv districts. 62 rescuers and 17 units of equipment were involved in extinguishing these fires.

Rescuers in Lviv region remind that burning garbage, dry grass, shrubs, and other vegetation is prohibited and punishable by a fine.
