The «Freedom of Russia» legion, the «Siberian Battalion», and the RDK crossed the border with the Russian Federation and declared that they would stay overnight «in their native lands.» Military observer of the «Information Resistance» group Konstantin Mashovets reported that the main strike of the free fighters took place where the Russians «did not expect them.»

«Anti-Putin Russian formations indeed started infiltrating into Russian territory overnight on 12.03.2024, in particular in the Belgorod region, in the area of the village of Lozova Rudka. And the enemy’s command began to react to this, being confident that this is where the main forces of the ‘election invasion’ would be introduced. But, as far as I understand, the main events unfolded not in the Belgorod region, but further north — in the Kursk direction, in the area of the village of Tetkino… in the responsibility zone of the enemy’s military grouping (MG) ‘Kursk’, significantly retreating in terms of the forces and means of the MG ‘Belgorod’,» Konstantin Mashovets reported on the morning of March 13.

During the night, the «Freedom of Russia» legion announced in their Telegram channel that the free fighters are staying overnight «in their native lands.»

And, according to the military observer, expelling the legionnaires from Russian soil will not be as easy as it may seem. According to Mashovets’ estimates, the «Kursk» MG has up to 8,800-8,900 servicemen, up to 36-38 tanks, up to 120-125 APCs, 120-122 artillery pieces, and 16-18 MLRS units. However, all of this is stretched along the entire border (for comparison, «under Belgorod» there are 17.7 thousand Russian servicemen plus over 2.3 thousand specially deployed here to counteract the DRG of the «Rosgvardia» troops, the number of equipment is several times higher).
