Concrete Projects for the Return and Reintegration of Ukrainian Children Presented in Kyiv

At another plenary session of the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children who were kidnapped and illegally deported by Russian aggressors, concrete projects for their return and reintegration were presented in Kyiv. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Office of the President of Ukraine.

The meeting, co-chaired by Ukraine and Canada, marked the expansion of the coalition’s activities and the involvement of new countries in the efforts. «The goal of today’s meeting is to provide partners with clear and detailed information on Ukraine’s efforts to return abducted children and ways to support this work by other coalition members,» said Katya Chabi, Executive Director of the Ukrainian Desk at the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Ukraine presented specific projects and ways to engage other countries in actively working to return Ukrainian children who were illegally deported or forcibly displaced by Russia. These initiatives include locating the children, developing mechanisms for their return, participating in diplomatic negotiations, and providing support and rehabilitation for the children after their return.

Projects were presented at the meeting to ensure the safe return and reintegration of children who have suffered deportation or forced displacement by Russian aggressors. Irina Suslova, a representative of the Ombudsman for Children’s Rights, and Irina Tulyakova, head of the Coordination Center for the Development of Family Education and Child Care, presented the relevant projects.

After the meeting, dozens of countries expressed readiness to actively participate in the implementation of Ukrainian projects aimed at the return and reintegration of Ukrainian children.
