After analyzing the behavior of thousands of people, scientists have come to the conclusion that traditional ways of releasing steam only exacerbate the feeling of anger. Instead, they have proposed a number of simple methods that help take emotions under control.
Effective Methods Revealed
A recent review of 154 studies showed serious shortcomings of such popular methods as hitting a punching bag or running. Scientists analyzed the influence of various activities on physiological arousal and found that the most effective methods include deep breathing, muscle relaxation, and mindfulness. These methods are effective in various situations and among different groups of people, helping to reduce the level of anger.
