The High Anti-Corruption Court to postpone hearing on Minister of Agrarian Policy
The High Anti-Corruption Court has decided to postpone the hearing on the election of a preventive measure for the Minister of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi. The judge announced that the hearing will take place tomorrow, April 25, at 11:00. Today’s hearing lasted over two hours and ended around 16:35.
Accusations against the minister
Yesterday, April 23, law enforcement agencies reported that one of the ministers was suspected of embezzling state land amounting to 291 million hryvnias, as well as attempting to seize a land plot worth 190 million hryvnias. Sources of RBC-Ukraine reported that the minister in question is Mykola Solskyi, the Minister of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine.
Solskyi himself, reacting to the suspicion, stated that it relates to the period from 2017 to 2018 when he was a lawyer and had not yet worked as a state official. The minister claims that the case is related to a conflict between state enterprises and individuals, in particular with ATO military personnel, regarding land that was legally transferred to them for ownership.
