State Property Fund Finds Buyer for Lokhvitsky Distillery

After a long period of inactivity, the State Property Fund has finally found a buyer for the Lokhvitsky distillery near Myrhorod. The entire property complex of the enterprise, which has not been operating since 2009, was purchased by the Poltava company «Agro-Sontse» at an online auction for 14 million hryvnias. This is one of the steps in the process of privatizing the alcohol industry, planned to be completed by the end of 2024. This was reported by LIGA.net citing Prozorro.Sales.

History of Inactivity: From State to Private

The first attempt to privatize the Lokhvitsky distillery was in March, but the auction was canceled due to lack of participants. The state-owned «Lokhvitsky distillery» is the largest of the remaining state distilleries, but it has not been operational since 2009. All assets of the enterprise are located in the Myrhorod district of the Poltava region. As of March 31, 2024, the overdue accounts payable of the state enterprise amounted to 55.68 million hryvnias, with an average number of employees of three.

«Agro-Sontse» — The New Owner of the Old Distillery

The Poltava company «Agro-Sontse,» founded in 2017, has at least five warehouses in different regions and is engaged in supplying chemical raw materials to over 1000 organizations and enterprises. The ultimate beneficial owner is Natalia Odaryuk. The revenue of LLC «Agro-Sontse» in 2023 amounted to 31.54 million hryvnias, with a net income of nearly 1.08 million hryvnias. The company’s assets last year reached 35.18 million hryvnias with liabilities of 22.7 million hryvnias.
