Ukrainian forces withdraw from «Kanal» district in Chasove Yar
Ukrainian forces have withdrawn from the «Kanal» district in Chasove Yar in Donetsk region, as confirmed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Spokesperson for the operational-strategic grouping of troops «Khortytsia» Nazar Voloshyn explained that the decision to retreat was driven by the threat to the lives and health of the servicemen, as well as the destroyed positions of the Ukrainian defenders.
«The command has made a decision to regroup forces in more secure and prepared positions. However, enemy forces continue active combat actions even in the new locations. They have not been meeting their deadlines for several months now,» he noted during a national telethon.
