On Saturday, July 6, Hourly Power Outage Schedules to be Implemented in Ukraine
Ukrainians can expect the introduction of hourly schedules for power outages on Saturday, July 6, which will be in effect throughout the day. According to a warning from «Ukrenergo», most of the day will see two queues activated simultaneously, and during peak hours — three queues.
«From 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, three queues of hourly power outage charts will be activated, while during other hours, two queues will be in effect,» the company announced. Each queue covers a group of residential and business consumers who consume a certain amount of megawatts.
«Ukrenergo» also noted that the main reason for implementing these schedules is the consequences of rocket and drone strikes on Ukrainian power plants carried out by the Russians since the beginning of this year.
Losses to the Ukrainian energy system exceed 9 GW of capacity, which is equivalent to the consumption during peak hours in the summer season in the Netherlands or Finland.
It is worth reminding that earlier «Telegraph» reported on Ukrainians’ outrage over «dishonest» power outages, to which the company «DTEK» provided an explanation.
