Manchester United faces transfer registration issues with Australian player
According to a report from The Sun, Manchester United is currently dealing with problems related to the registration of Australian player James Oweri. FIFA and the Premier League have launched an investigation into his transfer.
In March, Oweri made the move to Newton Abbot Spurs. However, as per FIFA regulations, a player cannot change clubs within 16 weeks of their previous transfer. Manchester United allegedly breached this rule by approaching Oweri before the designated period expired.
As a result, FIFA and the Premier League are now looking into the matter, causing a delay in Oweri’s registration with Manchester United.
Prior to his transfer to Newton Abbot Spurs, Oweri had been a part of the youth team at Perth Glory. Several other clubs, including Everton and West Ham, had also expressed interest in signing the talented player.
