Ukraine launched its most massive strike on Russian airfields during the entire war. The airfields «Voronezh,» «Kursk,» «Savastleyka,» and «Borisoglebsk» came under attack.
This was reported by sources in Ukrainian intelligence agencies who provided information to several media outlets.
According to the obtained data, long-range drones from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the Defense Forces (including the Air Force, Special Operations Forces, Unmanned Systems Center of the Armed Forces, Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, and other military units) carried out the most powerful attack on Russian military airfields since the conflict began.
It was a «restless night» for the airfields «Voronezh», «Kursk», «Savastleyka» and «Borisoglebsk». This was a carefully planned operation to prevent these bases from being used for bombing attacks on the front line and Ukrainian cities.
Russian military correspondents are already complaining on social media about the significant success of the strike, admitting that Russian air defenses failed to protect these targets. Specifically, local Telegram channels report about 10 explosions at the «Savastleyka» airfield, from which MiG-31K fighters regularly take off to carry out attacks on Ukraine.
«The SBU continues to systematically weaken the aviation component of Russia’s military machine. Aircraft currently give the enemy an advantage in the air, but we will continue to clip the wings of these ‘birds,'» noted an informed source.
