FC Bayern Munich in negotiations to extend Alphonso Davies’ contract
FC Bayern Munich is in discussions with Canadian defender Alphonso Davies to extend his contract, which currently expires in the summer of 2025. Previously linked with a move to Real Madrid, it now seems unlikely as the German club looks to secure his future with them.
Bayern has been offering Davies a new contract with a salary of 13-14 million euros per year, including bonuses. The player, however, is demanding 20 million euros per year. The club is willing to increase its offer, but there are clear salary limitations known to Davies.
Recent negotiations have been positive, with Davies leaning towards extending his contract with Bayern. The club is considering either extending the contract or selling the player for a minimum value of 50 million euros to avoid losing him for free when his current contract expires in 2025.
