President Joe Biden Focuses on Geopolitical Issues

President Joe Biden, who recently announced the suspension of election campaigns, will focus on geopolitical issues, particularly in Ukraine and the Middle East, until the end of his presidency. This was reported on July 23 by Financial Times correspondent on international relations and US defense, Felicia Schwartz.

According to the publication, one of Biden’s main priorities remains providing maximum support to Ukraine in case Donald Trump wins the presidential election in November. He also discusses as a priority the possibility of concluding bilateral agreements with Ukraine and providing any available assistance to Kyiv until the end of his presidency.

However, American officials and analysts consider it unlikely that the Biden administration will obtain approval from Congress for another aid package to Ukraine before the end of his term.

Another key issue for Biden in the coming months will be the situation in the Middle East, with a particular focus on ending the conflict between Israel and Hamas, the publication notes.
