Support for Ukraine is Vital, says NATO Military Committee Chairman

Although there is nothing impossible for Ukrainian military, support for Ukraine is extremely important at the moment. Therefore, allies should choose to help Kyiv instead of pursuing NATO goals.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a statement by NATO Military Committee Chairman Robert Bauer.

«Ukraine has shown the world that it is capable of achieving unprecedented success on the battlefield. The Armed Forces of Ukraine can handle any task. All they need is our help. And we are already providing this help. And it cannot happen too soon,» he said.

Bauer emphasized that time in Ukraine is measured not in days, weeks or months, but in human lives.

«In allied countries, a week is a week. In Ukraine, a week is a mother, a father, a child, a friend, a loved one, lost forever,» he stressed.

The head of the NATO Military Committee assured that it is not too late for Ukraine to achieve victory, and that «the freedom of Ukraine should not, cannot, and will not die.»

«And if allies are faced with a choice between achieving NATO goals and supporting Ukraine, they should support Ukraine. Resources can be replenished and restored, but lost lives are forever,» he continued.

Bauer also emphasized that the Russian leadership has made it clear that it has chosen impunity and is acting in response to the alleged existential threat.

«They are ready to sacrifice not only hundreds of thousands of their people — not even bothering to pick up their bodies on the battlefield, but also to endanger the well-being of many more millions of people worldwide, using food, energy and migration as weapons,» he concluded.
