Special Housing Complex for Disabled Veterans to Open in Kyiv Region
Benefactors have come together to create a unique housing complex for disabled veterans in the Kyiv region, providing them and their families with comfort and support.
The complex is set to welcome its first residents by the end of May or early June, as announced by Ruslan Kravchenko, the head of the Kyiv Regional Administration.
Situated amidst a picturesque coniferous forest near a lake, this town will offer a safe haven for soldiers and their families who have lost their homes due to war or have been displaced from occupied territories.
Each house in the complex will feature 80 square meters of living space, fully renovated and furnished, with an equipped kitchen, bathroom, and toilet. Residents will also have access to a private terrace for relaxation and their own plot of land.
Moreover, the town will house a clinic dedicated to veterans’ rehabilitation, alongside recreational facilities such as parks, sports grounds, children’s playgrounds, and barbecue areas. Plans include the construction of a substantial anti-radiation shelter capable of accommodating over 100 people within the complex.
Buses will be available to transport veterans’ children to nearby schools and kindergartens, which will also be acquired by the benefactors to ensure a comprehensive support system for the residents.
