Police seize 42 kilograms of amber in Rivne region
During a search in a garage in the village of Ozero in Varash district of Rivne region, police officers discovered and confiscated approximately 42 kilograms of partially processed amber stored in a bag. The information was reported by Ukrinform, based on a statement from the regional police.
Authorities noted that the farm where the amber was found belonged to the parents of a 27-year-old resident of the regional center. The man in question refused to provide any explanations to the police.
Investigative actions are underway regarding the illegal extraction and storage of amber. The seized stones have been sent for gemological expertise as part of the ongoing criminal investigation.
The police are currently working to determine the origin of the amber and to identify any other individuals who may be involved in this crime.
