Over the past one and a half months, more than 50 thousand square meters of road surface damage have been eliminated on national roads in the Kharkiv region.
Of these, over 38 thousand square meters were on the Kyiv direction, almost 11 thousand on the bypass road of Kharkiv, and over 2 thousand on the M-18 route Kharkiv — Simferopol — Alushta — Yalta, according to the Service for restoration and development of infrastructure in the region.
The department notes that they are trying to accelerate the pace of eliminating potholes while favorable weather conditions last. Contractors such as «Automagistral-Pivden», «RDS» and «Slavdorstroy» are involved in the work. The priority is the M-03 route Kyiv — Kharkiv — Dolzhansky, which is strategically important for humanitarian and military transportation, as well as the Kharkiv bypass road.
«Although the repairs are emergency, there is currently no funding in Ukraine for either capital or even routine road repairs, all contractors guarantee the quality of work,» state the department.
Representatives of the Service assure that they also monitor the progress of the work and the quality of materials, including the use of thermovisors.
All road users are urged to pay attention to road signs, reduce speed, and be cautious and attentive in order to avoid endangering themselves and road workers.
