Russian Airstrikes on Kupiansk Cause Casualties
Russian forces have carried out airstrikes on the city of Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region, causing casualties and destruction. According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleg Synegubov, guided aviation bombs were used in the attacks.
«The occupiers carried out airstrikes on the city of Kupiansk. Hits were recorded in the central part of the city,» emphasized Synegubov.
As a result of the enemy shelling, two men were killed, and one woman was injured. There may be more people trapped under the rubble. The National Police confirmed that a café building and a church were damaged in the strikes, resulting in injuries and fatalities.
Update: Five People Injured in Airstrike
After further assessment, Synegubov reported that five people were injured in the airstrike, with the number of fatalities remaining unchanged. Three women and two men are receiving medical assistance for their injuries.
Fierce Battles Near Kupiansk
In addition to the airstrikes, fierce battles are taking place near Kupiansk, as Russian forces attempt to capture the settlement for strategic reasons. The area has important railway routes, roads, and junctions that are crucial for troop movements towards the Donetsk region.
Commander Stanislav Krasnov stated that the Russians have been engaging in intense combat near Kupiansk, using frontal assaults and committing a significant number of infantry troops to the fight.
