Get a Closer Look at the Samsung Galaxy Ring at MWC 2024
At MWC 2024, visitors were able to get a closer look at the long-awaited Samsung Galaxy Ring. In addition to showcasing the device, Samsung also shared some interesting details that may have been missed.
Samsung Plans to Make Galaxy Ring Compatible with All Android Phones
Samsung confirmed in an interview that they are working to make the Galaxy Ring compatible with other Android phones. This is good news for Android users who do not own Galaxy phones. Samsung’s Vice President, Dr. Hon Pak, announced that the company aims to make the smart ring available for all Android devices.
Long Battery Life and Lightweight Design
The Galaxy Ring promises long battery life with prototypes ranging from 14.5 mAh to 21.5 mAh. The largest model will have a capacity of 21.5 mAh, comparable to the Oura Ring. The lightweight design of the Galaxy Ring was also highlighted, with the smallest model weighing 2.3g and the largest weighing 2.9g, making it over 1g lighter than the lightest Oura Ring.
Available in Three Stylish Colors
The Galaxy Ring will be available in three colors: silver, gold, and black, providing users with options to suit their style preferences. Unfortunately, iPhone users will not have the option to use the Galaxy Ring, but Samsung hopes that their devices will be appealing enough to attract iPhone users to make the switch.
