In Kyiv, against the background of warming, the first sakura and magnolias have blossomed in the Dniprovsky and Desniansky districts, but soon you will be able to enjoy flowers in all areas of the capital. This was reported by the director of the Department of Environmental Protection and Climate Change Adaptation of the Kyiv City State Administration, Oleksandr Vozny.
«In Kyiv, the flowering period of sakura and magnolias is starting. Its duration is about two weeks depending on the type. Kyiv residents will be able to enjoy the blooming of these delicate plants in every district of the capital. I am convinced that enjoying the flowers at such an undeniable time will help residents and guests of the capital to distract from worries and get a positive mood for many weeks ahead,» he noted.
In addition to the Fomin Botanical Garden and the M. M. Hryshko National Botanical Garden, trees are growing in parks and squares in the capital.
