There are only a few weeks left until the Peace Summit, which will take place in Switzerland on June 15-16 at the Bürgenstock resort. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that representatives from over 90 countries will gather, including India in the form of individual delegates from the Global South. The intrigues of diplomatic games surrounding this event are being discussed in a speech by political scientist Volodymyr Fesenko on the «Apostrophe TV» channel.

Important Global Event

It is important to note that the summit in Switzerland is a global event aimed at resolving not only future peace talks, but also creating conditions for ending the war between Ukraine and Russia, as well as supporting a just world order.

Tense Diplomatic Struggle

Currently, a tense diplomatic struggle is unfolding, taking place in both public and covert forms. Russia is taking measures, both public and covert, to reduce the number of summit participants and decrease their level of involvement. Among such measures is the holding of a BRICS ministerial summit on the same dates, as a strategic move to divert the attention of foreign ministers to another event.

Russia is resorting to various methods, including blackmail, promises of loans and energy resources at preferential prices, as well as the use of corruption to hinder its partners from participating in the Peace Summit.
