Temporary Restrictions on Electricity Consumption in Five Regions
Ukrenergo’s dispatch center has decided to introduce temporary restrictions on electricity consumption starting from the evening of April 5th. The outages will affect five regions, as reported by the company’s press service on Telegram.
It is planned that the restrictions will be in effect from 18:45 to 22:00 in the Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Kirovohrad, Poltava, and Sumy regions.
As stated in the announcement, the scale of the restrictions will be less significant compared to April 4th, therefore the power interruptions will be less prolonged.
The reason for implementing the restrictions remains the same: the lack of sufficient generating capacity to cover consumption in certain regions of the country. This is due to the recent massive attacks on Ukrainian power stations carried out by Russia.
At the same time, power restrictions continue in the Kharkiv region, as well as for industrial consumers in Kryvyi Rih.
