Former three-division world champion, 36-year-old Vasyl Lomachenko, has commented on the timing of his fight with George Kambosos.
The fight between Lomachenko and Kambosos is scheduled for May 12. The bout for the IBF lightweight world title (up to 61.2 kg) will take place in Australia at the RAC Arena in Perth. This title became vacant after it was relinquished by Devin Haney, who moved up to the super lightweight division, writes Gazeta.ua.
«It seems like this is the first time in my career that a fight will take place at 11:00 local time. For me, this is better than fighting in the evening. It’s more convenient, as you wake up, have breakfast, and go fight. After that, you can enjoy this beautiful city. I was in Kings Park, I saw a koala. It was fun and interesting, as I had never seen this animal before. Koalas sleep for 20 hours, eat for four hours. But they only eat leaves. And that’s it. It’s very interesting,» Lomachenko said.
